1. Proposed title of this feature request - [RFE] Need the option to provision host using Satellite with the uppercase hostname in VMWare 2. Who is the customer behind the request? Account: Zine ZIDANE (Account - 5927578) TAM customer: No CSM customer: No Strategic: No 3. What is the nature and description of the request? - Need the option to provision host using Satellite with the uppercase hostname in VMWare 4. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here) - When the customer fills the Hostname field in Satellite, during the host creation, he is putting it in uppercase, but in vsphere it's created in lowercase. What he wants is to be able to choose either the case for my vsphere machine's name or either a completely different name for example: He is creating a host in satellite named "mylinux1" and in vsphere, the virtual machine could be named "MYLINUX1" or "redhat8" or whatever he chooses. 5. How would the customer like to achieve this? (List the functional requirements here) - N/A 6. For each functional requirement listed, specify how Red Hat and the customer can test to confirm the requirement is successfully implemented. - Once this feature will be implemented in Red Hat Satellite then one can provision a host with the name(uppercase/lowercase) as they choose. 7. Is there already an existing RFE upstream or in Red Hat Bugzilla? - No 8. Does the customer have any specific timeline dependencies and which release would they like to target (i.e. RHEL5, RHEL6)? - No 9.
