I have found someone trying to do some fixes after upstream. They made few releases. Not very active, but has few commits from recent years.

On github: https://github.com/resurrecting-open-source-projects/dnsmap

It seems that might be a good source to do an update of dying project.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 39 development cycle.
Changing version to 39.
