Hot plug is enabled only for "Disk" type with "SCSI" interface if you read the line below the field, that's what the backend supported.

Comment 2 Adam Litke 2023-05-31 12:37:39 UTC
Alexander, could you please check if we can support 'lun' type and 'scsi' bus for hotplugged disks in the backend?

Comment 3 Alexander Wels 2023-06-30 12:53:36 UTC
I think we can support it, needs to be fleshed out a little more in particular what to do when someone selects lun on a non lun volume and things like that.

Comment 4 Adam Litke 2023-08-09 17:56:53 UTC
Alexander, can you please create a jira issue to handle the backend side of the work? Once that lands, then we can ask the UI to allow this combination.

Done, created https://issues.redhat.com/browse/CNV-32192
