Upstream bug report: https://github.com/esphome/esphome-flasher/issues/225 In all supported Fedoras we've got esptool 4.5.1, 4.6.2 coming. esphomeflasher doesn't support this version, it fails with: Unexpected error: type object 'ESPLoader' has no attribute 'detect_chip' This was moved to another module between esptool 3.3.3 and 4.x. It's impossible to use the package in this shape. There's no upstream solution so far. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1
Upstream bug was closed as stale :( I'll try and see if it's possible to fix this and ideally get a PR up. If that turns out to be unfeasible we might need to retire this package.
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 39 development cycle. Changing version to 39.
