Description Matthew Yee 2023-06-26 19:56:40 UTC
Description of problem:
The following steps are required to make remediations from insights (console.redhat.com) work:

1. Configure cloud connector (if you want to remediate from the console)
2. register hosts to Satellite + insights: it's a single step, you can do it with the register template we already have.
3. upload the inventory
4. sync inventory statuses (it will sync the hosts)
5. sync remediations (if you want the correct counts and remediations in Satellite)

If you miss any of these steps, remediations will fail silently from console.redhat.com. Fortunately, all of these steps will run on a nightly schedule so that only leaves you with 23 hours and 59 minutes of swearing.

I'd like to request a new feature that is a single command/button that performs all of these operations for you, including the "satellite-installer --foreman-proxy-plugin-remote-execution-script-install-key true" command.
