lxdm logs since last boot

Description of problem:

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 0.5.3

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. boot the system
2. get stuck when lxdm is supposed to be displayed

Actual results:
getting stuck in the boot screen

Expected results:
lxdm is showing

Additional info:
I observed this behavior starting with a kernel update.
kernel-6.2.14-300.fc38.x86_64 was working fine while subsequent did not. i am currently running kernel-6.3.8-200.fc38.x86_64

I am also using the proprietary nvidia drivers.

when one gets stuck on the boot screen one can ctrl+alt+f2 to get a shell, login as root and systemctl restart lxdm. lxdm will show up.

if you need further information, let me know!

Comment 1 Mamoru TASAKA 2023-06-30 09:04:13 UTC
So apparently X (X server) is segfaulting, not lxdm.

Anyway we cannot fix any bugs when proprietary drivers are used. So once closing.
