Description Nikola 2023-07-05 09:06:21 UTC
Hey all,

I'm having trouble with crashes on my laptop when connected to a docking station. It seems to happen with some load while connected to a docking station / dock via USB. Tried it with several monitors connected to docks with same results. Laptop is thinkpad t14s gen 1 with amd.

Posted to forums without help, was thinking a 6.3 kernel update would help, but it seems it didn't. I didn't have these issues prior to updating to Fedora 38.
https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/screen-issue-with-thinkpad-and-dock/83706

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect to external display and peripherals via usb dock (Tested with several Thinkpad docks and monitors)
2. Put some load on system, VS code, chrome tabs, docker, minikube
Actual Results:
The laptop freezes, and the display turns off and on. Unplugging from docking station doesn't achieve anything. Going back to work via hard restart is required.

Expected Results:
No crash loop occurring
