Description of problem (please be detailed as possible and provide log snippests): During the discussion around https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2213739 it was decided to disable the ODF Topology view, hence the tab "Topology" visible on the rest of ODF deployments starting from version 4.13, should not exist for External mode deployments. Version of all relevant components (if applicable): ODF 4.13 and above Does this issue impact your ability to continue to work with the product (please explain in detail what is the user impact)? no Is there any workaround available to the best of your knowledge? - Rate from 1 - 5 the complexity of the scenario you performed that caused this bug (1 - very simple, 5 - very complex)? 1 Can this issue reproducible? - Can this issue reproduce from the UI? yes If this is a regression, please provide more details to justify this: - Steps to Reproduce: 1. Login to the Management console 2. Navigate to Storage / Data Foundation, observe the tabs bar 3. Actual results: Topology tab is not visible between the Overview Tab and Storage Systems tab Expected results: Web portal has a Documentation describing feature absence Additional info:
@kbg If we have a section describing management console separately and tabs under Storage / Data Foundation such as Overview, Storage Systems, Backing Store, Bucket class and Topology, I would add notification that Topology is not available for external mode cluster. If we don't have such section in documentation then not having "View OpenShift Data Foundation Topology" in external mode guide will be enough assuming all the rest deployments will have "View OpenShift Data Foundation Topology" section.
