kata-containers failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f39 https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=103613235 For details on the mass rebuild see: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_39_Mass_Rebuild Please fix kata-containers at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks, kata-containers will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 40, kata-containers will be retired, if it still fails to build. This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 39 development cycle. Changing version to 39.
F39 will stay on v3.0.1 and F40 has been bumped to v3.2.0 Won't fix due to rustc version incompatibilities.
(In reply to Emanuel Lima from comment #5) > F39 will stay on v3.0.1 and F40 has been bumped to v3.2.0 > Won't fix due to rustc version incompatibilities. If this bug does not get fixed, it means that Fedora 39 won't have the kata-containers package available at all. We should either fix the 3.0.x version or go ahead and upgrade it to the latest one.
As I understand it, version 3.0.1 has passed the build and we don't have any more time to update the package.
F39 has kata-containers 3.0.1 available
