Description John Griffiths 2023-07-26 19:03:29 UTC
Description of problem:
When I try to connect to my Yealink W60B, I get the error:
Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to <redacted>.com. You are attempting to import a cert with the same issuer/serial as an existing cert, but that is not the same cert.

Error code: SEC_ERROR_REUSED_ISSUER_AND_SERIAL

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
firefox-115.0.2-3.fc37.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to the login page of the W60B

Actual results:
Get error:
Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to <redacted>.com. You are attempting to import a cert with the same issuer/serial as an existing cert, but that is not the same cert.

Error code: SEC_ERROR_REUSED_ISSUER_AND_SERIAL

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

Expected results:
Go to page, or at least be offered the opportunity to add an exception.

Additional info:
I followed the steps outlined in the Firefox page https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Certificate-contains-the-same-serial-number-as-another-certificate#

 They did not work.

The Android version of Firefox connects. Brave Browser connects. Konqueror connects; all after adding an exception.

Comment 1 John Griffiths 2023-07-26 19:11:34 UTC
I had deleted all the server certificates and some of the authority certs.

Konqueror show the cert id. I found it under People and not servers. Deleted that cert and was prompted to add an exception.
