Description bc5548e7-9fdd-4463-9964-4bd4809fe0dd 2023-07-29 15:45:52 UTC
I have external monitor connected via display port to dell WD19TB dock station. After upgrading kernel to 6.4.4 it stays blank after boot. Everything works fine if I select kernel 6.3.12 during boot.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. boot kernel 6.4.4
2. there is no step 2

Actual Results:
external monitor stays blank

Expected Results:
external monitor should work

I see a similar or the same issue. Laptop sits on a Lenovo ThinkPad Pro Dock 135W, external monitor is connected with DP. Since kernel 6.4 the external monitor instantly goes to sleep after GRUB, but is still available from terminal or Gnome settings (but still sleeping). Unluckily when trying to change the primary monitor in Gnome settings the internal screen goes blank while the external monitor stays blank either.

Yes, sounds like exact same issue. Looks like we are both running amd vega gpu.
