It seems the mimic package version in Fedora is very old, version 1.3 from 2020? At the end of 2022, Mimic 3 was released here: https://github.com/MycroftAI/mimic3 ...and the resulting output speech is an _order of magnitude_ better and more realistic than anything Mimic 1 and Mimic 2 ever achieved.
