Description Albert Flügel 2023-09-09 14:14:37 UTC
With the gnome screenshot program in window mode always the same window is taken, i cannot select any other.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the screenshot program (/usr/bin/gnome-screenshot)
2. Select the mode window (is default anyway)
3. Press "Take Screenshot"
Actual Results:
Always the same window is photographed. It seems always the one behind the button "Take Screenshot", but i'm not sure. I consider this quite user-unfriendly, especially cause it seems not documented.

Expected Results:
I can in some way select the window to capture.

Side note: The documented procedure to take a "screen cast" cannot be performed. There is no camera symbol to switch to this mode.
