Hello, Starting from Fedora 40,openCOLLADA is retired from the repository (https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/openCOLLADA/c/8fbd0a8eee8d565374333b75c11c6be5cdc60a7d?branch=rawhide) for nearly a year due to lack of maintenance from upstream and its dependency from pcre 1 (https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/openCOLLADA). For that reason, we will not fix the issue. Should you like to take over that package and un-retire it, feel free to reopen this report and we will enable .dae support again.

I'd love to assist, but I've not the skill, so I can't.
Alternatively, you can use the F39 version which supports openCOLLADA. We will update that version to 4.2 as the last stable release with such support for Fedora 38.
