Description Steve 2007-03-30 15:51:39 UTC
Description of problem:
Simo Sorce (ssorce) means it is a glibc bug, please see:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=204240

if you have a "@" in your smb.conf, e.g: write list = @group, samba will not
share anything. by replacing it with a "+", samba will share again.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
glibc-kernheaders-3.0-5.2
glibc-common-2.4-11
glibc-2.4-11
glibc-devel-2.4-11
glibc-2.4-11
glibc-headers-2.4-11
samba-common-3.0.24-2.fc5
samba-3.0.24-2.fc5

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. setup your smb.conf with "write list @someone"
2. restart samba
3. see what happens

Actual results:
by replacing the "@" with a "+", sabma will share again

Expected results:
samba should work with that "@".
