Description Frederic Hornain 2007-04-04 11:22:07 UTC
Description of problem:
Well, I have tryed to install FDs on my laptop for test purposes but when I try
to install it using rpm -ivh I have got a message which say "not a rpm package
(or package manifest):".

BTW, I have downloaded it from http://directory.fedoraproject.org/wiki/Download

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
fedora-ds-1.0.4-1.FC6.i386.opt.rpm

How reproducible:
Just go to the FDs download web page, download the package corresponding to a
FC6 distribution and then try to install it using rpm -ivh

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have a FC6
2. Go to the following URL : http://directory.fedoraproject.org/wiki/Download
3. download fedora-ds-1.0.4-1.FC6.i386.opt.rpm
4. Install it to your FC6

Actual results:
"not a rpm package (or package manifest):"

Expected results:
Installation Complete

I just downloaded the same rpm and was able to install it just fine on my FC6
i386 system. What is the md5sum of your downloaded file? Here's what md5sum
reports for the one I just downloaded:

e9266f3355e6dae23a518544f8d2c1c6 fedora-ds-1.0.4-1.FC6.i386.opt.rpm

Comment 2 Frederic Hornain 2007-04-04 18:08:46 UTC
Well, indeed I have downloaded it right now and it works.
I have certainly missed something somewhere... :)

Concerning the previous download the md5sum was :
3aa873e78592d6930b6a57468a4cd8c1
but it doesn't matter now.
Anyway thanks a lot for your great help.

BR
Fred
