Qt Bug Tracker QTBUG-136453 0 P1: Critical Reported QTableView auto-section-resize broken since Qt 6.9 2025-05-02 13:51:40 UTC

Description Thorbjørn Lindeijer 2025-05-02 13:51:41 UTC
Description of problem:

Now that Tiled 1.11.2 is shipped against Qt 6.9 on Fedora 42, users will run into the following regression: https://github.com/mapeditor/tiled/issues/4191.

Until there is a new Qt or Tiled release that includes a fix for this issue, please apply the following patch: https://github.com/mapeditor/tiled/commit/2c6eb813b877c8e2284ed36c7d04beaacd6a789f

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Tiled 1.11.2
Qt 6.9.0

How reproducible:

100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a map or tileset in Tiled
2. Notice that the tiles are not rendered correctly
3. The problem is especially noticeable when zooming in or out

Actual results:

Tiles are not rendered correctly (see screenshot on linked issue).

Expected results:

Tiles are rendered correctly.

Additional info:

Since it only occurs when Tiled is distributed against Qt 6.9, I'm asking packagers to apply the patch at https://github.com/mapeditor/tiled/commit/2c6eb813b877c8e2284ed36c7d04beaacd6a789f until the next Tiled release (or until a version of Qt has been released with a fix for this regression - this is https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-136453).
