I tried installing rh7 on my system, but it always fails at the exact same spot. After creating the user accounts when it starts reading stuff from my hard disk. Something about anaconda. I have a PIII 450, g200 AGP, 3 button logitech, regular keyboard, BCD 40 x CDROM, diskette, 104 us keyboard, amquest modem 56K. This is a HP Vectra vei8. Nothing fancy in it like SCSI, no network card. I tried installing on my 8 gig maxtor: partition 1 5gig FAT 32 Win98 partition 2 2gig FAT 32 redhat files partition 3 1gig FAT 32 nothing I also tried a on clean HDD, 2 gig maxtor: partition 2 gig FAT 16 redhat files I tried custom install, workstation, always the same thing! Yes, I did try the update of anaconda. There is something wrong with the hard drive image you are installing from. Make sure you have all the required files and have copied them in a binary safe manner.
