entire (write) error:

Summary
    SELinux is preventing /usr/libexec/dovecot/dovecot-auth (dovecot_auth_t)
    "audit_write" to <Unknown> (dovecot_auth_t).

Detailed Description
SELinux denied access requested by /usr/libexec/dovecot/dovecot-auth. It is
not expected that this access is required by /usr/libexec/dovecot/dovecot-
auth and this access may signal an intrusion attempt. It is also possible
that the specific version or configuration of the application is causing it
    to require additional access.

Allowing Access
You can generate a local policy module to allow this access - see
    http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/selinux-faq-fc5/#id2961385 Or you can disable
SELinux protection altogether. Disabling SELinux protection is not
    recommended. Please file a http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/enter_bug.cgi
    against this package.

Comment 1 Bojan Smojver 2007-06-03 18:55:09 EDT
This should be fixed in updates-testing policy, release -12. Did you try that?
Comment 2 John Horne 2007-06-04 09:19:57 EDT
Upgrading from the supplied F7 version 2.6.4-8 to version 2.6.4-12 from
updates-testing worked for me with dovecot.
