Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 244401
yum-updatesd.conf man page does not correspond to actual options
Last modified: 2014-01-21 17:58:36 EST
Description of problem:
"run_interval" is in config file while "runinterval" in man page
"do_download_deps" in config file is not in man page
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
fc6 and f7
Steps to Reproduce:
3. compare both
don't know which is correct
all options correctly documented
According to yum sources
thery are defined as run_interval and do_download_deps.
So I think that there are few minor errors in the yum-updatesd.conf man-page.
The latest version of yum-updatesd.conf.5 man-page is available here
and it's broken too.
Fixed upstream; will be in 3.2.1
Too quick fix :)
I have checked CVS revision 1.2 of man page and there is "do_download" section
added. Should be "do_download_deps". Reopening
Too quick fix again :)
Now both "do_download" sections have changed to "do_download_deps". First should
be "do_download" and the second one "do_download_deps". Reopening
Right now I have noticed that "dbus_listener" option is also undocumented.
yum-3.2.1-1.fc7 has been pushed to the Fedora 7 testing repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
Problems persist. See comments #5 and #6

Fixed-up in current -git of yum-updatesd. Note that dbus_listener is
intentionally not being listed as it's almost certainly going to be going away
in the future
