Description of problem:
New ASUS A8 Series Laptop (A8S). The Fedora 7 installer did not detect the DVD media I booted from, resorted to doing an HDD install. Post install the Optical Drive is not available. lspci shows the following.

Worked with Bill Nottingham to try to get this working via IRC, including setting the id.

Tried using new_id to add 8086:2850 to ata_piix - it didn't cause it to see the CD.

The kernel from updates testing 2.6.22.1-20.fc7 and the 2.6.22.1-27.fc7 I found
in koji solved this issue for me.
