Description of problem: Gnome-power-manager is showing both batteries present and 100% charged, even though they have been removed from the notebook and it is running on AC power only. The fact that the system is running on AC power is correctly shown in the tooltip, the remaining time to charge however is completely wrong as no battery is present. Clicking on the icon shows two batteries present with the last charge before removal. Catting the ACPI info shows the correct state of the batteries though: [root@bofh cpufreq]# cat /proc/acpi/battery/C13*/state present: no present: no Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gnome-power-manager-2.18.3-1.fc7
