Thanks for the extra debugging info. It shows that you're being prompted to both enter your password for the account and to accept an SSL certificate. Do you see either of those dialog windows on startup?
Yes, I see both password and SSL prompts, then it hangs.
Please, disregard this bug. 'mail-notification' plugin is the defective here. If disabled, Evolution works perfectly. Will upgrade to newest version.
