Description Michael Moon 2007-07-26 15:20:18 EDT
Description of problem:
RHEL 4.3 on PPC64 does not have 64-bit openmotif 2.2. Only the 32-bit version
exists and this is a problem for Oracle as we need the 64-bit version for the
Oracle 11g Forms release. Does a 64-bit openmotif 2.2 for RHEL 4.3 on PPC64
exist and if so, how can we get it?

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
openmotif 2.2

How reproducible:
(see below for actual commands/output)

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual results:
$ cat /etc/issue
Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 3)
Kernel \r on an \m

$ uname -a
Linux staxj08 2.6.9-34.EL #1 SMP Fri Feb 24 16:46:57 EST 2006 ppc64 ppc64 ppc64
GNU/Linux
$ rpm -qa | grep -i motif
openmotif-devel-2.2.3-9.RHEL4.1
openmotif-2.2.3-9.RHEL4.1
openmotif-2.2.3-9.RHEL4.1
$ rpm -ql openmotif-devel-2.2.3-9.RHEL4.1 | grep libXm.so
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXm.so
$ file /usr/X11R6/lib/libXm.so
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXm.so: symbolic link to `libXm.so.3.0.2'
$ file /usr/X11R6/lib/libXm.so.3.0.2
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXm.so.3.0.2: ELF 32-bit MSB shared object, PowerPC or cisco
4500, version 1 (SYSV), stripped

Expected results:

$ cat /etc/issue

Comment 1 Jay Turner 2007-07-26 16:31:31 EDT
openmotif.ppc64 is/was included in RHEL4U3 and is still included to this day on
POWER. That package includes the 64-bit libXm.so library.
