The short summary is: xfce-mcs-manager wakes up a lot, which is annoying on
laptops and bad in general. A patch that solves this has been written and
applied in svn. It should be pretty clean to apply since upstream has backported
it to the 4.4.x branch -- and also for that reason, it's a temporary fix for
Fedora since it'll be included with the next upstream release.
In the meantime, could you pull this fix into the Fedora package?
Yeah, I was hoping for a 4.4.2 release here, but it hasn't happened yet.
I will look at pushing that fix in in the next few days.
I have another fix or two for xfce-mcs-manager as well.
Thanks for the report.
ok. I have built a new version for rawhide/devel. Can you confirm it works as
You can get it from koji now:
or it should be in the next push after the test1 freeze is over.
If you can confirm it's working as you expect, I will push out a f7 and fc6
Appears to be much better. Thanks.
Excellent. Thanks for the testing.
I have gone ahead and pushed out a F7 test version too.
If that looks good, I will do fc6 after the f7 one is in updates.
