"shutdown -h" can not turn off the power of the machine,though it could if
system is Red Hat Linux7J

Probably ACPI related. A new kernel is due soon, could you try the 2.4.1ac one
that will be out next week ?

This defect is considered MUST-FIX for Florence Release-Candidate #1
