current qt lacks XIM support. So can't input Japanese text in the
text entry field of qt widgets.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.acctivate XIM while focussing the text entry field

Comment 1 Bernhard Rosenkraenzer 2001-02-13 14:56:27 UTC
The patch for XIM support has some possible binary compatibility issues; I'm
looking into this.

Comment 2 Glen Foster 2001-02-13 20:19:05 UTC
We (Red Hat) should really try to resolve this before next release.

Comment 3 Matt Wilson 2001-02-14 13:26:00 UTC
should be fixed in qt-2.2.4-4
