Description Alain Portal 2007-09-06 03:59:11 EDT
There is a typo at /etc/rc.d/init.d/hddtemp:36
"see/etc/sysconfig/hddtemp" instead of "see /etc/sysconfig/hddtemp" (missing
white space after see).

There is a typo at /etc/rc.d/init.d/ypbind:65 and /etc/rc.d/init.d/ypbind:80
"Binding NIS" instead of "Binding NIS" (duplicated white space before NIS).

There is a typo at /etc/rc.d/init.d/named:117 and /etc/rc.d/init.d/dictd:94
"force-reloadstatus" instead of "force-reload|status" (missing |)

There is a typo at /etc/rc.d/init.d/apmd:26 and /etc/rc.d/init.d/ypbind:54
"Setting NIS" instead of "Setting NIS" (duplicated white space before NIS).

Possible typo at /etc/rc.d/init.d/iscsid:19
Trailing white space

Please file these against the individual packages - this can't be fixed in
initscripts itself.

Note that fixing this will cause string changes.

OK :-(
Is there an easy way to know in what package is a file?

> Note that fixing this will cause string changes.

I know, but I discovered its when I parsed fuzzy and untranslated strings in
the last initscript po file.
Do I have to tell maintainer to don't fix before F8 is released?

rpm -qf <file> should give you the package name.

Yes, you might need to tell the maintainer that. Perhaps mark it with the
'StringChange' keyword?

Only if the package is installed ;-)

OK
Comment 5 Bill Nottingham 2007-09-06 10:49:53 EDT
repoquery -qf <file> should work too.
Comment 6 Alain Portal 2007-09-06 10:54:51 EDT
Works fine
Thanks!
