Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.boot from linux 7 cd-rom
2.follow instructions on the screen and reach disk druid.
  set mount point
3.click next for the next screen and CRASH........

Actual Results: the installer asked me to send the dump to you ...and
rebooted the system

Expected Results: the installer should have went ahead with the
installation and ask for swap space

all the partitions in the disk are unformatted but it recognizes the
partions as windows FAT32 I have another disk which is formatted(FAT)
I AM JUST A NOVICE TRYING TO INSTALL LINUX ON MY COMP AND THIS IS WHERE I
GOT STUCK.
Comment 1 Michael Fulbright 2001-03-29 11:23:46 EST
If the vfat partition you are mounting as /mnt/space formatted (ie, can you use
it under windows as it is)?
Comment 2 Matt Wilson 2001-03-29 11:29:08 EST
workaround: do not assign mountpoints for unformatted partitions. This bug is
fixed in the next release of red hat linux.
