Description Tom London 2007-10-27 13:50:25 EDT
Description of problem:
I got a hard freeze with -37.i686 kernel.
[Actually, about 1/4-1/2 second audio loop repeat. Was playing with Google Earth
when it crashed.]

GUI frozen, Alt-Ctl-XXX had no effect.

After power reset and reboot, I found the following in /var/log/messages.

Not clear if this is effect or cause.....

Oct 27 10:34:15 localhost NetworkManager: <WARN>  killswitch_getpower_reply():
Error getting killswitch power: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes
include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security
policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection
was broken..
