Description Karl Lattimer 2007-11-22 05:18:26 EST
Description of problem:
The apple mighty mouse scroll ball doesn't work on fedora 8

Minor patch to evdev in xorg appears to correct the problem
Comment 1 Matěj Cepl 2007-11-22 11:06:42 EST
Quoting from the URL you pasted:

"A reader (JP Larocque), has noted that the older kernels dont support the
horizontal scrolling. He also states that the latest Xorg doesn't require
modifications. I know that in late 7.0, or 7.1, evdev was completely re-written.
It is much nicer now, and discovers mouse devices based on names instead of
device nodes."

This is NOTABUG to the best of my knowledge.
