How reproducible:

when some Gigabyte copy over wlan. when i only search in the internet then i
have no problem.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.copy a iso file with 500 MB over wlan

Comment 1 Matthias Saou 2008-02-03 12:14:00 UTC
Reassigning to the kernel since I doubt this is firmware package related...

Marco : Can you please confirm if this problem persists, or if an F-8 update has
fixed it since?

Comment 2 Marco Löwl 2008-02-03 12:25:18 UTC
Hi,

yes, i have install F8 on and have the same Problem. when i copy a file with
~500MB and more then i must reload the module for the wlan driver. i have the
kernel 2.6.23.14-115.fc8.
i have a new notebook dell d630 with the same kernel and the same problem, but a
newer Intel chip for wlan.

regards Marco

Could you attach the contents of /var/log/messages as well as the output
of 'lsmod' and 'lspci -n'? Thanks!

I don't see the "Microcode SW error detected" in the info you posted. Please
recreate the problem and then resend the /var/log/messages file...thanks!
