Description of problem: This a bit strange. Since I upgraded to fedora 8, totem reduces the value of saturation every time it is started. I reset it again in the preferences, but this happens every time. It doesn't happen if I leave totem running and play multiple videos. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): - Fedora 8 - totem-2.20.1-1.fc8 How reproducible: on my machine every time Steps to Reproduce: 1. reset saturation 2. stop totem 3. start totem 4. check saturation Actual results: looses saturation Expected results: preferences stays the same on every start Additional info: This might be just happening on my machine, but I post it anyway to see if anyone has seen the same problem
Could you please post the output of xvinfo before and after running totem, when you see that problem?
Created attachment 301866 [details] xvinfo before running totem

I have attached the two outputs of xvinfo > xvinfo.before; totem; xvinfo > xvinfo.after in totem I just pressed 'q' the difference is this: "XV_BRIGHTNESS" (range -64 to 63) client settable attribute - client gettable attribute (current value is 0) + client gettable attribute (current value is -1) "XV_SATURATION" (range 0 to 31) client settable attribute - client gettable attribute (current value is 14) + client gettable attribute (current value is 12) after another run I get this: "XV_BRIGHTNESS" (range -64 to 63) client settable attribute - client gettable attribute (current value is -1) + client gettable attribute (current value is -2) "XV_SATURATION" (range 0 to 31) client settable attribute - client gettable attribute (current value is 12) + client gettable attribute (current value is 10)
I have upgraded to Fedora 9 now (complete reinstall). This made the problem go away. As this probably is not going to be fixed now that I won't be able to reproduce it I am going to close the bug.
I would like to reopen this bug again. I see the same problem now with fedora 9. It is not just with totem, also with mplayer and xine.
