This is fixed in later builds of anaconda.
So could you please a bit guide me what to do? (my prev linux experience is gentoo based and i never ever worked with yum).
I mean when I've loaded with FC8-KDE-LiveCD what to type to upgrade anaconda to be able to install FC8 without problem?

it seems I found how to do it... trying to update...
well, it didn't help. now anaconda fails on trying to write bootloader. I didn't get crash log but i do remember it failed on attempt to unlink file... will try to reproduce.
If the issue is resolved, it doesn't seem to be available. I experienced the exception while installing from Fedora-8-Live-x86_64 image downloaded 03-11-2008. I checked the current version: [root@localhost ~]# su -c 'yum list anaconda' fedora 100% |=========================| 2.1 kB 00:00 primary.sqlite.bz2 100% |=========================| 5.8 MB 01:06 updates 100% |=========================| 2.3 kB 00:00 primary.sqlite.bz2 100% |=========================| 2.5 MB 00:28 Installed Packages anaconda.x86_64 11.3.0.50-2 installed Then I tried to update it: [root@localhost ~]# su -c 'yum update anaconda.x86_64' fedora 100% |=========================| 2.1 kB 00:00 updates 100% |=========================| 2.3 kB 00:00 Setting up Update Process Could not find update match for anaconda.x86_64 No Packages marked for Update
