I just started getting this on a Fedora 8 x86_64 machine attempting to install kernel 2.6.26.6-49.fc8, manually trying to install this kernel. Rebuilding from source [prepping with rpmbuild -bp kernel.spec), installing from BUILD with make bzImage modules modules_install install causes this as well.
This message is a reminder that Fedora 8 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 8.
