Description brae_charles 2007-12-20 18:19:30 EST
Description of problem:

Configured a new cluster a couple of weeks ago via s-c-cluster w/ several
services/resources inc fencing/domains (single node at the moment). All was
fine until tried to start s-c-cluster this morning:

# system-config-cluster
python2: Objects/stringobject.c:105: PyString_FromString: Assertion `str !=
((void *)0)' failed.

Continues to crash after reboot, and gutting /etc/cluster/cluster.conf,
restarting rgmanager. Works after removing cluster.conf ("new or open", crashes
on open).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Turns out it was crashing when running

from pyexpat import *

in /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/_xmlplus/parsers/expat.py due to an entry
in /etc/ld.so.conf.d/oracle.conf causing s-c-cluster to use oracle's
libexpat.so rather than python's.

You may close this bug - it wont let me(?).
