Description Daniel Walsh 2008-01-25 09:06:53 EST
Description of problem:

# rpm -q firefox
firefox-3.0-0.beta2.12.nightly20080121.fc9

# uname -a
Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.24-0.167.rc8.git4.fc9 #1 SMP Tue Jan 22 22:53:00
EST 2008 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

When I go to download, something large, for example the upstream thunderbird
rpm, it starts downloading to /tmp

 ls -l /tmp/*.part
-rw------- 1 dwalsh dwalsh 4104000 2008-01-25 08:59 /tmp/b_Zbn4Gd.gz.part
-rw------- 1 dwalsh dwalsh 5342919 2008-01-25 09:01 /tmp/SoLx_4Jo.gz.part

But never completes.

It also does not show the files that I downloaded in the download screen. Some
times the download is complete but never renamed. But for large downloads it
just stops.

Is there something we should know about your network configuration? I just went
away and downloaded thunderbird tarball without any problem. Tell me something
more how to reproduce, or otherwise I am afraid this bug is leaning towards
WORKSFORME.

(and of course to test the TB issue
curl -L -O
'http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/download.html?product=thunderbird-2.0.0.9&os=linux&lang=en-US'
is your friend).

Ok I was able to recreate my .mozilla/firefox directory and copy over the
important contents,

This now seems to work.
