Description of problem: There are a number of issues with the current version of nautilus-share which makes it hard to get up and running for ordinary users: 1. Samba is missing as a Requirement in the spec file. Nautilus-share does not work without samba installed and running. 2. Manual configuration according to the instructions found on the Nautilus-share website and in the INSTALL document included in the package is required. The INSTALL document is not the place that I would go looking for this kind of information, and I am certain that my mother would not do that either if she tried nautilus-share :-). Perhaps a nautilus-share-smb.conf file could be included in the package which contained the necessary configuration for Samba? 3. Nautilus-share does not work without punshing a hole in the fw (I use the default fw settings). Although this is not a major problem, there is no indicator that this is the actual problem. All in all, I think the level of manual interaction is fairly high given the target group of this program. I would recommend adding a README.fedora file which describe these issues. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 0.7.2 How reproducible: - Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Additional info:

Not mine problem. See bug 427413.

How come this is not a problem? Am I wrong when I say that nautilus-share does not work without samba installed? If that is so, then I will not bother you anymore, but if I am correct then I do not see why you do not wish to update the spec file.
You misunderstood me.
