Comment 3 Miloslav Trmač 2008-02-25 20:17:37 EST
Thanks for your report.

The behavior is correct, only the --help output is imprecise. --help says:
-i, --interactive prompt for all information
but the real meaning of the option is:
       -i, --interactive
Ask all questions when connecting to the user database, even if
default answers are set up in libuser configuration.
Unfortunately the libuser version in RHEL4 has very little documentation.

Thus, -i affects only libuser modules that can ask questions about configuration
- in practice, only the "ldap" module. It does not mean that lusermod should
prompt for information to modify interactively.
