Description SzabX 2008-02-25 17:36:21 EST
Description of problem:
After, when i did update (with yum-updatesd service) my FC8 kernel to kernel: the opengl apps (gmplayer with the opengl video mode,
nehe.gamedev.net's lessons, etc.) failed (but: glxinfo | grep direct -> direct
rendering: yes). (Previously: with the old kernel and kernel module they did
works!) My videocard: ATI Radeon 2600pro. When i try to deploy the old kernel:
it is not possible deploy the old ati kernel modul (just the new, the most old
components is missing).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
 kmod-fglrx ( : 8.455.2-1.8.02.lvn8.x86_64

How reproducible:
With: gmplayer (settings -> video -> opengl -> restart application -> play movie)
http://nehe.gamedev.net lessons (with the old kernel and modules: they did
works good)
In the screen: there is some wertical arifacts.

Steps to Reproduce:
(the simplest way:)
1. download: http://nehe.gamedev.net/data/lessons/linuxsdl/lesson06.tar.gz (
2. unpack (to a directory and go -mkdir- there)
3. make
4. lesson06

fglrx isn't open source, so we can't fix this.
