Description Neil Horman 2008-03-11 11:07:18 UTC
Description of problem:
Sometime late in the 2.6.23 kernel series for F-8, palm treo devices stopped
getting recognized as serial ports, and are now being exported as generic usb
devices. as such utilities like kpilot/jpilot are no longer able to communicate
with the treo and device sync is not possible

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.run usbadm monitor as root
2.plug in a palm treo device (I use a 700p)
3.note the output of usbadm

Actual results:
generic usbdevice.ep<n> events are generated

Expected results:
events to add ttyUSB<n> should be generated and /dev/pilot link should be created
