Description of problem: In Fedora 8 anaconda used to set the keyboard to 'us+inet' and 'inet' would define the extra multimedia keys (volume up, volume down, mute, etc.). Currently in Fedora rawhide xorg.conf does not have any keyboard section, and I think it defaults to simply 'us', which breaks all the multimedia keys. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Fedora rawhide
Yes, we know. Keyboards are broken in several different ways right now. :-/
Actually, the simplest thing to do to get the default to be us+inet is to change the defaults in the keyboard driver.
And ajax did this earlier
I can confirm that this bug has been fixed in xorg-x11-drv-keyboard-1.3.0-2.fc9.x86_64
