Too many people just don't _know_ that Fedora supports network installs. The page at http://fedoraproject.org/en/get-fedora has no mention of the fact that you can just burn a small boot.iso and install over the network -- it only has the BT and full DVD ISO images. We should link to boot.iso for network installs too.
It should reference the Fedora-9-<arch>-netinst.iso instead (which is a hardlink to boot.iso). It'll exist in the isos dir, there is a sha1sum of it to verify, and the name is more clear than "boot.iso".
Yes, that would be a good idea. Although we seem to have missed the release now, it's not too late to fix it...
Is this something we should a) shoot for F12 and b) document in our Install Guide?
I'd vote a) yes and b) yes.
Who do we talk to about generating and posting net install ISOs?
the isos are distributed on the mirrors. So they are generated and posted as part of the normal release duties.
The links will be added later in the day once the Web team had though over this. So right now this bug will be on hold.
Links have been added : http://fedoraproject.org/get-fedora-all Bug Report is closed now.
Tickets move to docs-request so the fedora-websites component can be removed per request from Ricky.
