Description Hao Liu 2008-05-19 08:04:28 UTC
Description of problem:
While users installing RHEL-5.2-Server or RHEL-5.2-Client in graphical mode, the
release notes only show major version number of RHEL.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
RHEL-5.2-Server
RHEL-5.2-Client

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install RHEL-5.2-Server or RHEL-5.2-Client in graphical mode.
2. Click "Release Notes" in the bottom left corner of anaconda installation page.
3. Verify that only the major version number of RHEL is showed, the minor
version number is omitted.

Actual results:
'Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5' showed in the release notes.

Expected results:
'Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.2' showed in the release notes.

I think the new Release Notes for 5.2 should have address this issue. Using this
bug as a reminder.

The Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable) should be
redhat-release-notes-5Client-12

Comment 4 Don Domingo 2008-05-19 23:56:23 UTC
redhat-release-notes-5Client-12 (distro/ISO version) is superseded by
redhat-release-notes-5Client-15. the -15 build is the version used in the 0-day
errata for redhat-release-notes.

this is already correct in the 0-day errata:
http://errata.devel.redhat.com/errata/show/7362
setting as CLOSED CURRENTRELEASE (?)
