Description Ben Shomer 2008-05-19 14:28:33 UTC
Description of problem:
I set in Keyboard Layout Options: Use keyboard LED to show alternative layout:
ScrollLock LED to show alt layout
LED does not toggle on/off upon switching layouts.
It used to work perfectly well on my recent FC7
(I jumped straight from FC7 to FC9).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Allways.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Configure Keyboard Preferences. My config is for US layout as default and
Hebrew layout as secondary. Layout switching is with both shifts pressed.
2.
3.

Actual results:
Layout is indeed switched (and shows correctly on panel),
but LED is not lit when should.

Expected results:
ScrollLock LED should light up with Hebrew swtting.

Additional info:
I tested this with different layout switching key combinations.
None works.

Same behavior on my platform. No matter whether I select scroll lock, num lock
or caps lock, I see no indicator when switching layouts, although a simple press
of the caps lock or num lock key will turn on the led.

This has been reported on other distributions as well
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xkeyboard-config/+bug/194526), and
there is a mention at freedesktop too
(https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12434 see last comment).

This seems to work now with 906-5 in rawhide.
