Description Gene Czarcinski 2008-05-20 10:58:09 EDT
Description of problem:
Apparently, some packages look for "libntfs.so" as the library name [I ran into
one]. I believe it is common to have a ".so" symbolic like for many libraries.

Please add the symbolic link in the rpm package.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora 9

You just need ntfs-3g-devel, it has the libntfs.so link.

[spot@localhost devel]$ rpm -ql ntfs-3g-devel |grep libntfs-3g.so
/lib64/libntfs-3g.so
[spot@localhost devel]$ ls -l /lib64/libntfs-3g.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 2008-05-20 11:03 /lib64/libntfs-3g.so ->
libntfs-3g.so.28.0.0
Comment 2 Gene Czarcinski 2008-05-20 11:57:29 EDT
Mmmm ... I see the problem. The package I am trying to use is using ntfsprogs
which has /usr/lib64/libntfs.so.10

My mistake!
