Description thu992 2008-05-24 20:08:20 UTC
Description of problem:
Radial (and ellipsoid) colour gradients are drawn correctly in normal view but
appear in the opposite direction in fullscreen mode.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
$ rpm -q openoffice.org-impress
openoffice.org-impress-2.4.0-12.8.fc9.i386

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create empty presentation
2. Set page background to "Radial green/black" gradient (or any other radial or
ellipsoid gradient)
3. View presentation in fullscreen (press F5)

Actual results:
In the example given, gradient goes from green (center) to black (outward)

Expected results:
Gradient should go from black (center) to green (outward), as in normal view

Additional info:
Issue has been discussed at
http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=6051 - seems
to be Fedora-specific; someone suggested the issue might be X server related

Probably cairo related, either in cairo or more likely in the OOo use of cairo.

tools->options->openoffice.org-> something or other -> and disable "hardware
acceleration" would use the non-cairo version. I'll have a look on Monday into this

I can confirm that disabling HW acceleration "solves" the problem.

Talked to thorsten, and he reckons that given its been there this long and that
the new improved stuff is coming through in 3.1 that it's best to focus on that
rather than fix these now http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=71367
