Description of problem:
Starting xmaxima from the Gnome menu, it tells me it timed out waiting for
maxima to start. Asking it to try again gives the same.

Starting maxima by hand in a gnome-terminal starts almost immediately.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
maxima-gui-5.15.0-1.fc10.i386

Additional info:
wxMaxima (wxMaxima-0.7.5-1.fc10.i386) says it started maxima and is wating for a
connection.

Works OK now (modulo tk problems, and closing the window you get from running
xmaxima from a gnome-terminal messes that one up).
