Description Vegard Nossum 2008-07-08 17:27:27 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080416 Fedora/2.0.0.14-1.fc8 Firefox/2.0.0.14

Description of problem:
I inserted a USB flash disk and got this on my consoles:

Disabling IRQ #23

Removing and replugging the flash disk made it work fine. This is the first time it has ever happened after plugging/replugging the same disk in the same port on the same kernel version hundreds of times.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kernel-2.6.25.6-27.fc8

How reproducible:
Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Insert USB flash disk

This may be fixed in the latest 2.6.25.10 kernels for F8 and F9. Please test and
report back.

Comment 2 Vegard Nossum 2008-07-10 07:48:22 UTC
Hi,

I will upgrade to 2.6.25.9-40.fc8 (which is what yum suggests on F8), however, I
couldn't reproduce it with 60+ repluggings on 2.6.25.6-27.fc8 meaning I won't be
able to verify that it's truly gone (though I will of course report back if it
does happen).

Can you tell which commit(s) you believe will have fixed this between 2.6.25.6
and 2.6.25.10?

Thanks,

Vegard
