From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.77 [en] (X11; U; Linux 2.4.5-0.2.9 i686) Description of problem: Please integrate XFS sources from http://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/ into your kernel distribution. - Unless they are already included in the official Linux source tree, that is, I'm unable to tell from the doc. on http://www.kernel.org/. How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: mount -t xfs ... Additional info: Also note that there are certain issues related to installing kernel RPMs from SGI on a Red Hat 7.1 system, such as the fact that devfsd from Red Hat is not quite compatible with the SGI kernel.
XFS is not a candidate for 7.1 kernels unless it gets merged into Linus' 2.4 tree (their patch touches a lot of core code, and they add syscalls which is something we only do when Linus approves them) Also, please take bugs against the SGI kernel to SGI not us, as they changed several things we put in explicitly in order not to break things.
